If you like perfect weather and goal scoring this was your game. This includes Mike Ingenthorn’s innovative roaming netminder in helmet and goalie pants, deflecting shots away from his domain from every direction--as well as scoring the first goal for PFC. Jeremy Letterman led the offensive onslaught for PFC with 7 goals. Add a hat trick for Tony Parenti, 2 goals each for Jeff Burhenne and Nick Larkin (in blinding orange tennis shoes.) Tristan Bly gave early hope to ZPG by scoring first—his first of 2 goals. A hot Justin Szucs tallied 5 goals for ZPG, and 2 more goals each for Greg Crissman and Brendan Moreau.
Free Agents 4 Crooked River 3
After a scoring fest in the game before them, a goalie dual under the lights proceeded between Owen Tafe of Shaker Heights High School and Declan Conway of John Carroll University. Conway took the win—going down to the last save in stop time. A night of wild cycling and rushes saw goals by Brian Callow from Adam Dudziak, 2 from Adam Grady (with levity) from Dudziak and Callow, and the clincher late in the third period by Mark Stimezc. A spirited Crooked River team saw goals from Anthony Moses, Dan Smith and Dave Lipson
