Winter League - Week 3

Painesville Furniture & Carpet 5 Free Agents 5

Goal for goal—point for point—the Free Agents and PFC did the street hockey dual in the cool evening breeze to an amazing draw. For PFC Mike Ingenthron topped the roster in total points(5), with 2 goals from Tony Parenti, a goal from Derek Pixley, and an assist each from Craig and Scott Jackson. Nick Laudato kept things lively for the Free Agents with a few rockets finding their way to the back of the net, totalling a hat trick. Teammates in lime green Virgil Lanning, Scott Kalman, Mike Williams and Scott Revall added a point each. Ritchie K and Mike Thompson were amazing in net, as usual.

Zero Pucks Given 5 Fancy Boyz 1

First round pick John Hunter set the pace with a hat trick for ZPG in their third win atop first place all alone in the Winter League. Brian Bly and Justin Szucs added goals for ZPG. The lone goal for Fancy Boyz was scored by Dave Whitcomb from Steve DiMatteo playing out. While Grayson Sieg was hot in goal for Fancy Boyz, the win goes to a sizzling wall---Mike Thompson.

Westcor 5 Avery 4

Nothing like a tie game at a fast pace, and a goal late in the third period for the single margin of victory. It doesn’t get much better. Mark Abraham had 2 goals for Westcor including the game winner. Add points by Brian Przybyszewski (2), John Kuzniar (3), Dom Anselmo playing out again (1), and some hustle from Allie Forbush; with Michael Thompson as puckstopper, and you have the formula for success. Four straight goals from sniper Jeremy letterman of Avery put the matter up for grabs, not to mention the “Three who Dared” playing without any substitutes, including Jeff Burhenne and Mackenzie Lein with an assist. Grayson Sieg stood tall in net with the win to Michael Thompson for Westcor.

Thanks to Brian P and Ritchie K for some excellent officiating.
