Consolation
Fancy Boyz 13 Deck Rescue 4
Fancy Boyz rallied to turn the tables to win the consolation after a previous loss to Deck Rescue in league play. In these confusing times, it was great to see the whole team in stars and stripes—the red, white and blue uniforms adding to their victory. Tony Boris faced a blizzard of red orbs as Derek Cogar found the back of the net for 5 of Fancy Boyz goals. Steve Wilson had a busy night with 4 more goals and 4 assists for the victors. The symphony was completed with goals by Rick Dunham (2), Dave Whitcomb (1), and Fritz Harrell (1). Deck Rescue’s Nick Laudato fired in his customary hat trick to lead the resistance, with a goal and an assist from Scott Kalman. Steve DiMatteo was in good form for the Fancy Boyz and took the win in the crease.

Zero Pucks Given 8 Avery 5
The biggest playoff upset was first seed and League Champion Avery losing to a focused ZPG contingent. Six (6) of ZPG’s total of eight (8) goals were fired in by a single sniper—Brendan Moreau. ZPG’s Mark Contorno was in high gear to add a goal and 2 assists, and Greg Crissman a goal, with more assists from Brian Bly and Ritchie K all the way from the crease. Varen Hutchinson was all over the rink for Avery scoring a hat trick, adding goals from Sam Touvissi, a goal and an assist from Jeff Burhenne, two assists by Nick Larkin, and an assist by Makenzie Lein. The win in net to goalkeeper Ritchie K after a solid battle with Dom Anselmo. ZPG advances to the final for the first time, after eliminating the 1st seed.

Westcor 7 Painesville Furniture & Carpet 6
Westcor staked their claim to the final with 2 goals by Mike Timms, 2 goals and 2 assists by Mark Abraham, 1 goal and 5 assists by Brian Przybyszewski, and a goal by John Kuzniar. Mike Ingenthron had 4 goals for PFC and 1 assist. Teammates Derek Pixley added a goal and an assist, Bob Mueller a goal, Kevin Myles 2 assists, and Scott Jackson and Tony Parenti each with an assist. The win in Net to Mike Thompson as Westcor advances to the Championship.
