Zero Pucks Given 6 Havel’s Greenhouses 4

Bob Ivancic opened up proceedings with a goal for Havels in what turned out to be a tough, defensive struggle. But ZPG came out swinging and eventually out-distanced Havels with a 5 goal rant by sniper Brendan Moreau, and another goal by Erik Schmidt. Mark Contorno and Eric Heidenreich added assists. For Havels former Lake Catholic hockey Player Mark Havel scored a goal, former Gilmour Academy hockey player Nick Laudato a goal and 2 assists, and Ian Lengel a goal and an assist. Goalies Ritchie K and Tony Boris were stingy in defense, with the win to Ritchie K.

Old, Fat & Drunk(Erie) 13 Painesville Furniture & Carpet 8

Bailey Maloney scored 6 goals and Jake Binney 4 goals, as these 2 forwards drove to Painesville to open an Irish Pandora’s Box for the long time undefeated PFC. Chris Merski and Tony Rondinelli added to the magic with assists. PFC resistance was substantial as stalwarts Jeremy Letterman and Mike Ingenthron tallied a hat trick each. Not without help from their friends Tony Parenti (I goal 1 assist), Ken Myles (1 goal), Jeff Burhenne (1 assist) and Nick Larkin (2 assists). Both goalies Pat DiCicco and Patrick Ball played well, as Mr. Ball goes to 2-0 and his team goes into first place.

Boilermakers 7 Westcor 5

In close quarters play the Boilers outlasted Westcor with Dean Kelly leading the assault with 5 goals. Seth Miller and Seanna Conway added points and defense. Mike Timms and Brian Przybyszewski scored 2 goals each for Westcor, Ally Forbush 2 assists, add a goal from Mark Abraham. Mike Mramor took home a well-deserved win in goal over the ever-battling Mike Thompson.
