Ghost Trains 10 vs. 5 O’Clock Somewhere 7

A brother v. brother final saw Liam Conway’s undefeated “5 O’Clock Somewhere” team against twin brother Declan’s undefeated “Ghost Trains.” The ominous sound of a train on nearby tracks set the mood for the face off. With Spencer Keglovic, Liam Conway and Domenic Valerian sidelined for 5 O’Clock, Brayden Stortz of Brock University (6 points) and Tyler Houmard of Kent State University (hat trick) lead the attack with points and support from CJ Valerian(Hobart University), Joe IaDemarco(Mercyhurst), Calvin Bleick and Joey Fratantonio (U of Wisconsin) in goal. For the Ghost Trains, Declan Conway set the pace with an end to end rocket for the opening goal. Teammates followed suit with passing and finesse from all angles including Dan Kral and John McMahon (JCU); Chris Corgan and Brad Reitter (Davenport University); Tyler Kallay (Wooster Oilers); Jeremy Joyce (Marquette Royals); Jesse Anderson (Blind River); and Scoots Hollemans (MIHL). The pivotal variables in an equation loaded with talent however, seemed to be three full lines ever changing, and Michael Thompson in net prevailing, though outshot by 34-20.
